Nonwoven pouch materials and seal strength
Evaluate the fabric and seal as components that touch the user and control containment, release and handling.

Choose material with a purpose
Mini, slim and regular describe format directions, not universal dimensions. Ask for material identity, basis-weight specification, supplier documentation and contact suitability. Consider dry feel, wet softness, content retention and the behavior of the filled pouch. Appearance alone does not establish release performance.
Compare seal methods fairly
Heat-sealed pressed edges and ultrasonic seams can have visibly different profiles. Judge a method by controlled process conditions and the finished seal performance. A narrower seam is not automatically stronger or more comfortable. Record pouch geometry, material, process window and inspection method when comparing samples.
Define defects and test conditions
Include open seals, incomplete seals, leakage, tearing and dimensional variation in the sample evaluation. Wet and dry tests may answer different questions. Agree the acceptance criteria and sampling plan for the project. Do not label a material biodegradable, compostable or recyclable without evidence covering the exact material and disposal claim.
Working checklist
| Feature | Evaluate | Document |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric | Identity, contact suitability and texture | Supplier specification |
| Size | Length, width and fill geometry | Approved drawing |
| Seal | Dry and wet integrity | Method and acceptance criteria |
| Release | Under defined contact conditions | Protocol and results |
| Claims | Environmental wording | Evidence and relevant conditions |
Use this in your project
Keep this worksheet with a project code, version and review date. Assign an owner to each unresolved item and link the response to the relevant sample, supplier document or test report. Share a concise brief through our project enquiry before transferring confidential files. The result of review determines the final scope, specification, quotation and next decision.
Project questions
Can I use this as a finished product specification?
Use it as a development checklist. A final specification needs defined methods, acceptance criteria, approved versions and responsibilities matched to your project.
What should I send first?
Send the target country, intended use, ingredient or flavor direction, preferred pack and estimated quantity. Detailed confidential material can follow through an agreed controlled channel.
Bring your project into focus.
